"The Jungnangcheon Stream is a river characterized by sandbars formed by the accumulation of fine sand. Since ancient times, it has been renowned for its scenic beauty and clear waters. During the Joseon Dynasty, kings would stop by Jungnangpo to rest, eat lunch, and admire the natural scenery while traveling to the royal tombs. As recently as the 1950s, local residents used the stream for washing clothes and swimming."

The newly developed upper space of the Dongbu Arterial Road will become a vital ecological corridor, reconnecting habitats and waterways once divided by the former expressway. Over time, the area will gradually restore itself to its natural state. Nature will reclaim its home, and people will rediscover a healthier, more vibrant space—where both can thrive in harmony.
