CARIBOU MICRO-CABINS
Single-Family
CABIN
Two mico-cabins rise above the trees on the North Shore of Minnesota capturing views and creating a signature wilderness experience.

Caribou Lake is one of Minnesota’s cleanest and most pristine lakes in the state. The unique topography rises 1800 feet from the bluff line edge to the undulating shores of the winding lake. Sitting on this 2.3-acre wooded site, two black cabins blend into their surrounding while capturing views to both the lake and distant dark horizons of Lake Superior.

The twin cabins sit on tiny footprints and rise vertically creating a treehouse experience. Designed for AirBnB rentals, visitors are greeted by two micro-tower homes situated amongst natural outcroppings of fractured basalt and hardwood sugar maple forest. Each unit is composed of a lower-level entry and is organized around an open modernist wood staircase. Warm sunlight and views lead guests from the ground plan all the way to a third-floor roof deck with expansive views to some of Minnesota’s best natural vistas.

The vertical cabins nestle into the slopes of the rolling landscape and offer unique exterior amenities situated in the treetops of rolling hardwood forests.
